Amsterdam - September 10, 2009 – V4x, the innovative software developer of the V4x Interactive Factory Platform, which enables content producers, telecom operators and services providers, to create, manage and deliver compelling, synchronized contextual interactivity for video, has expanded its technology partnerships with leading content management and production systems, allowing content producers to easily repurpose and enrich content with interactive and social networking elements for online and mobile distribution. These powerful integrations with Actus Digital, Dalet Digital Media Systems and ProConsultant Informatique will all be demonstrated during the IBC Exhibition at the RAI Convention Centre in Amsterdam September 11 -15, 2009.

Technology Partnership with Actus Digital TVWebber

The automated workflow of the Actus Digital TVWebber and V4x Interactive Factory offers a remarkably fast turn-around for broadcasters, cable and other content providers to repurpose their content while adding dynamic, rich media elements. TVWebber automatically creates clips from the linear broadcast based on a program or as-run schedule. TVWebber attaches the relevant metadata and transcodes the clips to the required formats for use on other platforms. “As-broadcast” commercials can be automatically removed and/or replaced with web-oriented ones. As TVWebber is creating clips, they can be automatically fed to the V4xInteractive Factory platform which adds customized, rich media elements (interactive quizzes, contests, overlays, etc ) which the content provider has selected to web TV channels or custom-branded mobile devices. V4x Interactive Factory provides the delivery platform to WEB Flash interactive players and Apple iPhones and the ability for viewers to share their favorite content with friends through facebook pages. Demonstrations of the technology integration between TVWebber and V4x will be shown in the Actus booth at hall 2 stand A20 and in the V4x booth in hall 2 stand B31.

Technology Partnership with Dalet Digital Media Systems

The integration with Dalet Digital Media Systems and V4x highlights the V4x “Social” interactive web player, which offers webcasters new revenue opportunities through social networking. The V4x interactive web player provides a customized interface that extends the user experience, allowing users to fully participate in the streamcast – beyond traditional programming – with interactive widgets like live, moderated chat; quizzes and polls; animated banners, even live in-studio videos or channel events.

Technology Partnership with ProConsultant Informatique

Demonstrations of the smooth integration between ProConsultant Informatique’s LOUISE broadcast management system and V4x will be shown at IBC at the ProConsultant booth 2B21. The LOUISE system manages content rights and metadata across multiple channels for television and cable operators. LOUISE acts as the heart of the operation, managing content for both standard broadcast distribution and repurposing across alternate channels including VOD, mobile and web. By integrating with tools from V4x Interactive Factory, LOUISE customers can now easily produce and add new, interactive elements to the programs when they are exposed on these new digital platforms. LOUISE manages the primary content and V4x provides the interactive widgets and delivery platform to WEB Flash Interactive Players and Apple iPhones and other devices, The integration has already been successfully deployed during live programming by Public Sénat, the French public-interest television channel devoted to political news and discussion. “These important technology partnerships allow content providers to leverage their infrastructure investments while bringing interactive dimensions, social networking and new revenue opportunities to their content. It’s a very cost effective way to repurpose content and it’s also revenue-enhancing,” says David Amselem, founder of V4x. “By integrating directly with their primary content management and production systems, V4x offers producers great efficiencies, flexibility and customization by adding interactive polls, quizzes, and contests to VOD, web and mobile content. The rich media content provides additional ways to monetize the content while making it more engaging to viewers who can also share their favorites through social networking sites.”
